May Is National Bike Month!

I know I’m a few days into it already, but in case you didn’t know it, May is National Bike Month. Everything you ever wanted to know about National Bike Month can be found at the League of American Bicyclists website. Additionally, May 11 – 15th is National Bike to Work Week, and Bike To Work Day is May 15. If you are looking for information, or are a community organizer of any kind, there is loads of info on the site, including:

Locally, there are cool things happening too:

May is a great time to hop on your bike and get to the Saturday Market. Here in Salem, Breakfast on Bikes just did a write up on the new Bike Parking at the Saturday Market.

Saturday May 16, is the annual Reach The Beach ride. Pick a distance and pedal your way over to the coast. There are also other great rides in the Pacific NW, which you can see here.

As we get towards the end of the month, B on B will do their monthly gathering time, so be sure to check out their site.

This is a truckoad of racing going on in these parts too, and OBRA has all the info on the upcoming schedule.

And if nothing else, here in town you can get out on a weekly Salem Bicycle Club ride, or show up Tues or Thurs evening, or Saturday morning at Scotts downtown and go out with their regular ride as well.

Get out and celebrate National Bike Month!

I understand what it must be like. I am sure you go home evrey night and tell youelrsf to calm down and just let the natural flow of your swing go. But as we all know it is alot harder to do then tell ourselves to do it. You just hang in there and do what comes natural and all will fall in place. None of us have lost confidence in you and we know you can turn it around.Have a graet second half and good luck in the playoff’s.Cuz Steve Hauswald
