The Wearing of The Green

Happy St. Patricks Day. The day for the Wearing Of The Green, and I actually have a soft spot for the color green…especially bike frames. I don’t have any green bike frames, but everytime I see one I have good thoughts. In honor of this festive occasion, I’m posting some green bike shots. Read on for more photos…
Here is the same green frame from the front page, doing what I believe many cyclists will be doing tonight:

Check out this 1969 Folding Cinzia. The rack is actually part of the frame.

And the non-folding upated version of the same bike. Actually, I think this is from local builder, Ahearne, at the North American Handmade Bike Show.

Now this is what I think of when I think of St. Paddy’s green. Although the photog admitted forgetting to remove some cups before shooting.

The genius of this headbadge almost masks the green frame behind it, but it’s there.

I’ve recently had a fascination with cargo bikes. Xtracycles, Yuba Mundo, Batavus, Box Bikes…you name it. Here’s one in a lovely shade of lime. Although I don’t know anything about this bike in particular.

And this hand built Paul Brodie bike has a special paint job on it…one that glows in the dark. Pretty funky.

And what St. Paddys Day post would be complete without a bike used by the pub itself.

Have a great day!
