I didn't look at too many models, but went with the suggestion of my LBS...and it was one of those rare times that the LBS actually was cheaper than just about anywhere else I could find it online! Go LBS!

PS - I love this jacket!

I just looked at Showers Pass jackets yesterday while turning my MTB in to the shop at River City yesterday... they look really amazing. Great review.
I'm especially interested in (and might have to check out) the "Pro"... into the minimalist thing. Sal was also hovering above the white version of the Double Century for quite a while!

Ok, finally got a chance to look. One big 5 inch tall vent all across the back, and two vents, one under each arm, about 10 inches in length with zippers. Decent amount of venting there.

For me it would have to be extra big guys size.... My converted windbreaker has lasted me several years, but it lacks vents and cinch cords, so I've been thinking of replacing it.

Hey Jared - I'll look at my jacket when I get back home and see how many vents are on that baby. It's been a great jacket. You're right, $200 is nothing to sneeze at, BUT I believe this jacket will last forever, and when you're out in the rain for a couple hours, staying absolutely dry is worth it's weight in gold!

Yes, I picked mine up at South Salem Cycleworks...and fortunately found one in the 'big guys size!'

I like the idea of a cinch cord on the neck, my current rain jacket is a converted 10$ windbreaker (waterproofed) that does well on keeping most water out except for the constant trickle running down my back. How many total vents? Just the back and pits? And by LBS are you refering to South Salem Cycleworks? You know, in case I find 200$ in the couch cussion to finance it :) because that is a fairly attractive jacket.
